George Weston Technologies™ is based in Sydney, Australia. We perform sophisticated research and analysis services relating to the food, animal nutrition, veterinary and pharmaceutical industries.

We have over 40 years’ experience in chemical, chromatography and microbiology testing. Our quarantine approved facility is NATA accredited and AQIS-approved. Additionally, we hold an APVMA license.

Our analytical services include:

  • Chemistry: including examining nutritional panels, total dietary fibre, minerals, peroxide values and free fatty acids, protein, crude fibre, energy, digestibility and heavy metals
  • Chromatography: including examining sugars, vitamins, preservatives, pesticides, aflatoxins, veterinary drugs and more specifically, ionophores for the feed industry
  • Microbiology: including testing of seafood and shellfish, as well as smallgoods and ready to eat foods

Our recent innovations include:

  • Research, development and analysis of bread products such as Tip Top® Up® and Bürgen® Soy-Lin™, Rye, Oatbran and Honey and Grain varieties
  • Use of new infrared technology to enable the testing of flour, feed and forage quality in real time
  • Production of new grains such as Westwood dual purpose cereal rye
  • Development of the 'Jasafe' hygienic program - a simple, easy to implement HACCP food safety program
